The expert duo provides an insight into their exciting daily lives, both the unexpected great successes and the long-awaited ones. Today, their active Facebook group with 15,000 members is referred to as “business wiki” because entrepreneurs can find answers to almost every important question there.
Below, we provide a summary of the episode, which you can listen to in its entirety here:
To start with a strong story: Have you ever heard of entrepreneurs diving into shark-infested waters to rescue their businesses? Well, it happens, but more commonly, they help others understand and solve problems pragmatically and effectively in their specific business situations.
Anita and Gyuri introduce their business and when it’s worth turning to them for assistance. They offer valuable services for beginner, intermediate, and advanced entrepreneurs. Anita, with 30 years of experience, is an economist, certified accountant, and tax advisor. Gyuri has always been an entrepreneur, starting with real estate in 1996 and later expanding into lending. They met in 2008 and worked together for a year and a half on a company group that operated pharmacies, requiring financial support and crisis management. In 2011, they launched a website aimed at startup and existing entrepreneurs. Their main focus has been helping entrepreneurs understand the economic and administrative rules and knowledge relevant to them, and how to interpret and apply these in practice. Over the past twelve years, they have attracted the attention of representatives from large companies who now seek their guidance. They have earned the gratitude of many satisfied clients for simplifying and conveying knowledge in a comprehensible way.
In December 2012, Anita wrote an article about the KATA law, which gained tremendous success. From that point onwards, their website’s traffic increased significantly, and they became known for providing valuable advice to small and medium-sized businesses. Their flagship product became KATA-related consultation and administration. When the law changed, their existing Facebook group, “Vállalkozás okosan,” experienced a sudden increase of one to two thousand members, and it currently boasts seventeen thousand active members.
Their service primarily offers general information about common business issues. They created entrepreneur training to help entrepreneurs plan their businesses, including aspects like marketing, business plans, market research, cost analysis, and choosing the right business and tax form. Through their training, they introduce the concept of lump-sum taxation and its advantages. Since the law change, KATA is now only available to those who exclusively provide services to individuals and are full-time entrepreneurs. They also emphasize the importance of tax optimization and offer personal consultations for those with specific, serious questions after an initial calculation.
Businesses are always changing and evolving, and continuous learning and planning are essential. Gyuri and Anita collaborate with large companies such as Billingo, K&H, and Menedzser Praxis to help entrepreneurs who have also caught the attention of bigger corporations. In the case of K&H, Gyuri initially prepared the competitors in the “Cápák között” competition, so that when they faced the sharks, they could confidently deliver 6-8-10 essential sentences and have a clear understanding of their own business figures. The sharks typically determine an applicant’s understanding of their business from just two questions. Now, they provide winners with insights into business and financial planning, tax, and business forms.
Throughout the conversation, they emphasized that simplified solutions and automation can be useful, but the experience, advice, and guidance of a professional in tax and financial planning are always needed. Gyuri and Anita argued that learning and development are crucial for every entrepreneur, and you don’t have to learn from your own mistakes alone; there are others’ experiences to draw from, especially if you engage a good advisor in time.
