To open a securities account with Erste Bank, you’ll first need to create a personal current account if you don’t already have one. After that, you can open the securities account through the George App.

Follow the steps below if you wish to open a securities account with Erste:

2. Open a Securities Account Online: On the https://www.erstemarket.hu/oldalak/erste-netbroker , at the bottom, you will find the option: “If you already have an Erste current account, you can open your securities account online with just a few clicks! To do this, click on the ‘Securities Account Opening’ card in the George Store.”(https://www.georgestore.hu/#products -> Savings Programs Card -> Securities Account)

1. You can access the video bank through this link: https://www.mkb.hu/videobank
2. Click on the “Start Processing” button.
3. When you reach the list of services, select the “Personal Transactions” option.
4. Next, choose the option for “Requesting New Services.”
5. Provide your basic information, as well as your ID card and address card numbers. Then click on the “Next” button.
6. The next step is to check your microphone and camera. If this is successful, you can start the transaction during business hours from 08:00 to 16:00 (CET).
7. After initiating the transaction, you may need to wait for a short while until the agent joins.
8. According to MKB’s fee schedule, the monthly account maintenance fee for a securities account is 330 HUF, and in addition, the bank deducts an amount equivalent to 0.30% of the nominal value of the shares held in the securities account annually.
